Nailite siding was installed on my house in October 2002. The fading is excessive, spotty, and makes my house look horrible. People even comment on it when they come to visit. Printing the photos to send them didn't do the damage justice, so I've uploaded them here for Nailite to review when they get my warranty letter.
I live in northern NJ so it isn't as if this house is beaten daily with near tropical sun. And, my home is in an older, somewhat forested suburb, bordered to the east by undeveloped woodlands. That's why I'm so disappointed with this siding. I have aluminum siding (FAR cheaper) on a house, similarly situated in northern PA. It's been on the house for 30 years and has experienced significantly less fading.
In reviewing these photos, if you wonder why there aren't any of the back of the house, it isn't because the woodlands prevented the siding from fading....It's because I didn't have it sided.

House, Kitchen Side
The kitchen side of my house faces north. It gets very little sun. Just to the left of the chimney is my garage. If I don't get all the snow / ice out of there immediately, I have it all winter because of the lack of sunlight.
Yet, see how the Nailite has faded above the kitchen door (below) around the attic fan vent, and beside the chimney (left). Note how some panels faded a great deal and others did not in a totally uneven pattern. Clearly it's the materials and not the elements that have caused this.
